Singer Monica talked about her good friend and mentor Missy Elliott with Rap-Up. With Missy's return to the industry nearing closer, Monica expressed how it will affect music.

I know that I am definitely excited for new music from Missy Elliott. Back in the early 90s there was no way that you could turn on the radio in the Summer and not have a Missy track. However, does Missy hold a spot in the industry? Time will tell.
